EduSerc IPLD December Session - Scholarships/Industry Presentation Training (Sat, Dec 8, 2018 - 9am - 1pm)

This is the third session (student and parent) for the EduSerc Industry Pipeline Leadership Development (IPLD) Program. This session is our will cover the following:

IMPORTANT NOTE: The December 2018 session will be held at Prince George's Community College, since Microsoft's office is being renovated betwen December 2018 and January 2019.

1. Industry Project / Presentation Skills Training Preparation

• Students/Parents: Presentation Skills Training (1 hour)

(This module will cover how to deliver an effective presentation and master your speaking skills to showcase an idea or persuade your audience. This will cover time management strategies during a presentation, how to make your thoughts concise and how to deliver an effective speech. Parents should attend this session)

• Parents: Scholarship Development Training (1 hour)

(This module will teach parents how to identify, receive and help their child qualify for scholarships for college. This will cover all types of aide and ways to help them cover their entire college tuition for 4 years in a short amount of time.)

2. Industry Project Preparation (Requirements/Design)

This is for all students in the IPLD MD Affiliate. We will be starting the development of ideas of our industry projects

• Industry Project Definition and Design of all Projects
• Examples of How to Showcase Your Project
• Development of Industry Projects (Designs/Building)

Don't Forget to Bring Your 1st Quarter Report Card

Remember, a copy of your 1st Quarter report cards are due with EduSerc in the program this weekend. Please bring it with you so we can scan a copy of it for you or you can bring us a copy during this session.

Students (Required):

• Dress Code: Business casual dress (no jeans or tennis shoes) or your EduSerc IPLD Shirts. We will be taking pictures on each day of the Saturday sessions.
