IPLD Prince George's Trip - WMATA (Metro) / Microsoft (Transportation/Video Game Design)

This is our second IPLD experience of the program year, where students will receive a full day of industry learning and career exploration with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) and Microsoft.  Students will gain a working knowledge of the transit system and software coding.

WMATA (Metro) (Transportation Industry)

Students will receive a working knowledge of the transit system and learn how to be an industry leader in transportation.  While exploring career opportunities, students will tour metro's facilities and gain a greater appreciation for the application of technology, business, and finance with WMATA.

Microsoft (Video Game Design / Software Coding)

Students will work with Microsoft staff to explore coding and software development to build active graphics for their projects.  While learning about what it takes to work for Microsoft and become a video game coder, students will also have an opportunity to participate in a gaming tournament as well.…
