Marketing / Promotion Volunteer

Location:  Washington D.C, Maryland

Availability: Varies (twice a month)

Education:  High school education and above


Description: 

EduSerc is looking for volunteers to serve as a Marketing / Promotion Volunteer. Volunteers in this capacity serve as an industry resource to EduSerc by assisting us with the marketing and promotion of the organization in one or more areas.  This could include working with Community Relations and other departments to design marketing and promotion campaigns, send out email communitcations, attend networking events, share information about the organization with local schools or simply helping to develop/maintain the marketing database.

Tasks may vary, but may include items such as (but not limited to):

- Targeting schools, community organizations for marketing opportunities
- Developing emails and sending information on social networking websites
- Developing marketing material for trade shows and exhibits
- Sending email out on mailing lists and generating lists

Volunteer Requirements
As a volunteer, you will be working on a team of other professionals on a committee to help further the objectives of the organization.  All volunteers when representing the organization in person must dress casual or business casual (no jeans) and must reflect the values associated with the organization being quality, professionalism and integrity.

All volunteers must review EduSerc's volunteer policies and procedures training video before serving as an official volunteer with EduSerc.

Background Check   
Depending upon requirements (or the assignment), volunteers may be subject to a standard criminal background check due to requirements of local school systems or other entities for liability purposes.

Work in this capacity can be done on-site or remotely.
