The Nomination Process

Anyone interested in submitting themselves or someone else for a category must supply the supporting documentation and a tax-deductible fundraising donation of $50 to the EduSerc Awards Selection Committee.  Applications can be downloaded or completed online at http://www.eduserc.org/awards.  All applications must be completed in their entirety with the application fee included or the application will not be considered for a category.  Applications must be received by October 9, 2008 (not postmarked).

 

Application Submission Process

Applications for each award must include the following items:

  • Awards Submission Form (cover page)
  • Supporting Documentation (see Awards Category page)
  • Tax-deductible fundraising donation ($50)  Make Payable to EduSerc, Inc.

 

Supporting documentation must not be stapled, hole punched, or double-sided.  The whole application must be bounded by a paper clip or folder. 

 

Submit five (5) copies of each award submission to the following address:

Awards Criteria

To be considered for an award, you must fit into either one of the following categories:  Teacher, Professor, Career / Guidance Counselor, Principals, School (public or private), School System (public or private), Non-Profit Organization, Military Branch / Unit, Government Agency, Elected Official or Politician, Corporation or Small Business, College or University, or any individual contributor to the community. 

 

Nominations / Voting Process

The EduSerc Awards Selection Committee will review each application to determine nominees for each category.

Q. If I want to apply for more than one category, do I have to submit a separate application and fee for each award.

A. Yes

 

Q. Are there separate categories for each eligible applicant within the EduSerc Industry Awards or is there a general category for each industry?

A. There are separate categories for each eligible application.  For example, there is a category for organizations to compete for the EduSerc Non-Profit Industry Award for Engineering and a separate category to compete for the EduSerc Corporate Industry Award for Engineering.

 

Q. If I am nominated for an award by the awards selection committee, do I have to pay the ticket fee to attend the awards?

A. No.  However, you will receive a maximum of one (1) additional complementary ticket if you are nominated for any number of awards.  Therefore, if you are nominated in two categories, you will receive only still one (1) additional ticket.

 

Q. Can tickets be purchased the day of the awards ceremony?

A. Yes.  However, depending upon ticket sales prior to the event, ticket sales may be sold out.  Purchase your ticket early.  You can purchase tickets ahead of time over the website at http://www.eduserc.org/awards, by faxing your order form to (301) 498-0944 or (301) 362-4370, or by mail to EduSerc, Inc c/o EduSerc Awards P.O. Box 2536 Laurel, MD 20709.

 

Q. How do I vote for a nominee?

A. Keep an eye out on the website.  You will only be able to vote 10 times for any category.
