Planning Committees have been formed to ensure the success of the AWEDC and beyond. As the concerns for stabilizing our economy and developing creative workforce solutions continues to grow, our planning committees are working hard to facilitate the success of our community’s problems.

Industry & Diversity
This committee is tasked to identify the concerns, training and solutions associated with specific industries and how diversity plays a role in those solutions. specific tasks involve the following:
- developing topics for forums, workshops and strategic sessions that represent diversity and specific industries (ie. Engineering, Culinary, Medicine, etc.)
- identifying workshop speakers, facilitators and potential exhibitors for hands-on & interactive engagement with the community
- organizing information training content & products to be provided to the community during and after the conference (ie. Powerpoint presentations, Websites, in-kind services/products)
Education & Workforce
This committee is tasked to identify the concerns, training and solutions associated with specific educational institutions and school districts and how workforce development plays a role in those solutions. Specific tasks involve the following:
- developing topics for forums, workshops and strategic sessions that represent educational solutions for schools supporting workforce development
- identifying workshop speakers, facilitators and potential exhibitors for hands-on & interactive engagement with the community
- organizing information training content & products to be provided to the community during and after the conference (ie. Powerpoint presentations, Websites, in-kind services/products)
Community & Economic
This committee is tasked to identify the concerns, training and solutions associated with economic development and how the community at-large plays a role in those solutions. Specific tasks involve the following:
- developing topics for forums, workshops and strategic sessions that represent economic growth for businesses and local communities
- identifying workshop speakers, facilitators and potential exhibitors for hands-on & interactive engagement with the community
- organizing information training content & products to be provided to the community during and after the conference (ie. Powerpoint presentations, Websites, in-kind services/products)
