Social Networking Volunteer

Location:  Washington D.C., Maryland

Availability: Varies (once a month)

Education:  High school education and above


Description: 

EduSerc is looking for volunteers to serve as a Social Networking Volunteer. Volunteers in this capacity serve as a social networking resource to EduSerc by assisting us with marketing and making connection via the various social networking venues.

Tasks may vary, but may include items such as (but not limited to):

- identifying new social networking sites and registering EduSerc
- updating profiles and generating a social networking buzz for corporate interests
- managing information generated from social sites and filtering needs to the organization

Volunteer Requirements
As a volunteer, you will be working on a team of other professionals on a committee to help further the objectives of the organization.  All volunteers when representing the organization in person must dress casual or business casual (no jeans) and must reflect the values associated with the organization being quality, professionalism and integrity.

All volunteers must review EduSerc's volunteer policies and procedures training video before serving as an official volunteer with EduSerc.

Background Check   
Depending upon requirements (or the assignment), volunteers may be subject to a standard criminal background check due to requirements of local school systems or other entities for liability purposes.

Location
Work in this capacity can be done on-site or remotely.
 

Professional Skills: 

  • Good communication skills and leadership ability

Technical Skills: 

  • Computer and networking skills
    Experience with social networking sites (ie. facebook, myspace,youtube,linkedin)
